I’m half a century old, have an awful lot to say about everything, and eager to hear what others have to say in return. Foreign policy of the United States? U.S. domestic policy? Plutocracy? The safety of our food and water, the way we treat each other, the way we protect the planet and our natural resources? Who’s peeking into your bedroom or your doctor’s exam room? Who’s bamboozling you? Let’s talk about it. All of it!

This blog is also a place where I like to post my poetry. Often, just coming to the site inspires me to write, and that inspiration shows up here. I hope you enjoy what you read, and would like to encourage anyone to engage in a discussion with me. Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoying following you, as well, Carlos. So… the Lower East Side, eh? Ever get to Long Island? Would love some Gotham City updates occasionally… I’ve been a long time away from home!

Lower East Side since birth, but spending more time these past years out of state with my good friend Chloe and her mom. And yes, I know LI very well. Where are you from originally and where are you now? —–Chagall

  2. Oh, Carlos, I am so sorry I never replied to your reply! What a putz I am! Better late than never? I was born in Glen Cove hospital and lived in Glen Head till I was old enough to fly the coop. Have made Denver, CO my home for the past 20 years. I miss lots of green and lots of streams and rain. We get entirely too much freakin’ sunshine out here!! Those grey, overcast days are something I miss more than I could ever say. We get them about 5 times a year. 😦 Keep in touch! -Tina

Hoping all is well. Miss your writing. —CC

      • Hello, Carlos. I admit the blog activity dropped off significantly- may have to do something about that. How are things with you?

      • Chagall says:

Doing very well, Tina. Thank you for asking. I stopped for a while myself. It just wasn’t that rewarding. Seems to me that a lot of folks out there are more interested in liking a post hoping for reciprocity, rather than having any real interest in the writing or in having a dialogue regarding the content or the technique. Returned though to have a common repository for my stuff. I focus on a few peers and am content with that. —CC

      • It’s a common human condition, unfortunately. You can always tell, when having a face to face conversation especially, whether someone is genuinely interested in what you have to say or they’re just waiting for you to finish talking… I’m always particularly amused when you get the “dead fish” look of boredom. πŸ˜‰ I’m glad you’re still participating online. I don’t have much free time these days but will still pop my head in once in awhile to see what you’re up to. Still finding inspiration, I hope? This past Presidential election has given me enough material to carry me through at least half of Trump’s first term. lol

Came across a comment of yours on a post from back in the day. Hoping you are still writing and enjoying CO. —CC

      • Well, hello there, Carlos! So wonderful to hear from you! I’m doing well, despite the current political climate and all the uproar. What a sad state of affairs we have here in the country… How have you been? I’ve been neglecting my blog, and everyone else’s for far too long- will have to change that!

    Still hanging on…

    • Hi, Phil. Hope all is well with you. πŸ™‚

Yes.. we are all slaving away. Our business is keeping us busy. Sadly leaving me zero time for blogging (same old story). One day I shall return!
How are you keeping in these pre-Trump days. Trump and Brexit…seems the world is going through a shake up. However, I shall choose detachment for some months and keep my head buried in the sands of work. Talk soon, friend from across the waters. May your Christmas be merry and your New Year be different from the rest. I shall propose a silent toast to all virtual buddies and bloggers when the bells chime.
